We had great fun today finding out all about India. We learnt lots of interesting facts such as the capital city is New Delhi and the currency used is the rupee. It has lots of amazing landmarks which include, the Ganges which is the longest river and a holy place for Hindus. The Himalayas, which includes Mount Everest the worlds highest mountain and the beautiful Taj Mahal which is one of the seven wonders of the world. Then we completed an art and craft activity celebrating the Peacock which is the national bird of India, this symbolises grace, joy, beauty and love.
