This morning in assembly we learnt about the history and significance of VE Day. On our way into the hall we listened to Wartime Music by Vera Lynn and discussed how her music was important during World War II. Thank you to the flag bearers who welcomed us into the hall!
The children could share lots of their knowledge about VE day and we discussed why and how people will be celebrating today. We also observed the two minutes silence, well done to all of the children who were very respectful.
