We have been celebrating women's achievements and discussing Women's History Month in Reception. We listened to the story Girls Can Do Anything by Caryl Hart and read by the England footballer Leah Williamson. The story reminds us that girls and women are brave, strong and proud and it promoted a discussion about how women haven't always had equal access to education, different sports and career opportunities. The children were surprised by this and their contributions to the discussion showed great sensitivity and maturity.
