Y1 Computing - Grouping

March 05, 2025

Y1 continued their grouping unit in Computing this week. We discussed how grouping objects makes it easier to count. The children were able to work together to group rulers, scissors and pencils. They were then given a variety of pictures and given challenges to group them in different ways. They came up with some very impressive ideas of grouping by colour, things that fly and do not fly, nature and not nature and even thinking about hard and soft! Well done Y1!
