EYFS Maths - Doubling

March 07, 2025

This week in Reception the children have been working hard to double numbers. We begun by using our fingers to recall doubles 1-5 and progressed to using manipulatives when doubling numbers 6-10. Alongside this, we have been working on developing our STEM sentences, e.g. 4 + 4 = 8, so I know that double 4 is 8. The children have really enjoyed the range of activities we have explored this week.
