This week the children have enjoyed sharing non-fiction texts about various sea creatures. We have extended this through whole class discussions and the children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the weird and wonderful world within our oceans. During our Literacy writing tasks, children in Reception have had the opportunity to choose their favourite sea creature and write some facts they had gathered throughout the week. The children have taken their time to carefully segment and blend each word, using an ELS sound mat to support their grapheme-phoneme correspondence. We hope you enjoy reading some of their fantastic sentences!
