In our recent music lesson the children learnt all about pitch. Xylophones are perfect for introducing this concept , as each bar is a different colour and size the children can easily see and hear the high and low notes. The Puffins enjoyed experimenting and exploring the differences between high and low notes. The children also listened to short sequences of notes played by the teacher and tried to copy them. This builds both listening skills and memory . The Puffins really were marvellous musicians.
