This week in Maths, the Sparrows have been revisiting counting and creating the 'staircase' from multilink, noticing that each time we count, we add 1 more. They have also been introduced to subtraction and have been acting like rockets to practise counting backwards and noticing the numbers get smaller.
Together we have created our own staircases and number tacks using multilink, number cards and pencils all whilst calculating how many people get off the bus at each stop and writing number sentences. They have been using stem sentences like "I know 5 comes after 4 because it is 1 more" and "10 minus 7 leaves 3"
