Our trip to Raphael’s Park was packed with imagination, adventure and plenty of smiles. A perfect day out for curious young explorers. The visit brought classroom learning to life as the children went on an adventure to find the one and only Percy the Park Keeper and his animals created by our focus author Nick Butterworth. The children listened to the story ‘After the Storm’ sat together in the bandstand. We collected natural materials and created our own characters from the story, great team work Puffins. Then we sketched the oak tree and added the characters from the story.After all that creativity it was definitely time for lunch. Finally we headed off for the adventure playground where, climbing, balancing and lots of laughter took over.It was a great way to end a perfect day.
