This week, our budding scientists have been exploring the properties of materials to see which are best suited for constructing a house. Working in groups, the children were challenged to build a house for the Three Little Pigs that could withstand the "Big Bad Wolf" (otherwise known as Miss Bee and her hairdryer!)
We tested a variety of materials, including Lego bricks, card, straws, lolly sticks, and even sugar cubes. After some very windy testing, the results were unanimous: the Lego bricks proved to be the strongest and most stable material. It was a fantastic way to bring Science and fairy tales together!
