Maths in the Sparrows

In Maths this week we have been revising composition of the number 5 and started to look at the number 6 in more detail. The activities this week have involved using bingo dabbers and dice, children have been asked to roll the dice, dab that number if spots and then circle the spots ad form the correct number next ti the circle. The children have certainly enjoyed it and it has initiated lots of discussion about numbers. The children have also been practising formation from 1-5 making their very own number cloud. Composition of 5 with number sentences has been recorded in books this week with some children even being challenged to think about the composition of 10! They have impressed us with their knowledge of numbers! Well done  Sparrows.
