Y2 are going to be incorporating Music and Computing this half term and will be creating their own pieces of music! To introduce our new topic, the children listened to 3 different pieces of music by Gustav Holst and used different words to describe how it made them feel!
Gustav Holst created pieces of music and named them after the planets. This week Y2 listened to ‘Mars’, ‘Venus’ and ‘Jupiter’. Each piece was listened to and discussed and the children were brilliant at explaining their reasons for liking/disliking each piece.
Next week they will begin using a program to create their own music and we are excited to see the final results at the end of this half term.
