Exploring Addition in the Sparrows

This week we have been revising addition using a range of concrete, pictorial and abstract methods. During one of our Maths inputs, we created a part-part-whole frame using 3 hula hoops and the children were encouraged to share their observations of Number and Numerical Pattern using a range of stem sentences when articulating the parts which make up a whole number when adding together a given number of dinosaurs.
