The Woodpeckers Celebrate Black History Month

October 25, 2024
This month we recognise a very important celebration of Black History Month within Ardleigh Green. One of the many ways we have observed it is by learning about significant and pioneering individuals both past and present. During Art we have looked at the work of Jean-Michal Basquiat, a famous artist in America. Using pastels we created layers to our backgrounds whilst listening to various pieces of music to represent how the music made us feel. We then drew a self portrait on top in the style of Jean Michal himself!

We have many budding artists in our midst!
