EYFS Celebrate Diwali

October 21, 2024

Today, we discussed the importance of inclusivity and developing a sense of belonging through opportunities to celebrate our differences and what makes us unique or special.

This week in EYFS we are learning all about Diwali, the festival of light, and how this is celebrated. We watched Disney's Royal Detectives and discussed some of the ways Mira, the main character, celebrated Diwali with her family and friends.

Over the next few days we will be completing lots of exciting craft activities including making diya lamps, designing rangoli patterns and designing our own mendhi hands using templates. On Friday we are looking forward to celebrating Diwali through a dance workshop with Dance Days London. More photos to follow soon!
