Black History Month and Rosa Parks in the Penguins.

October 08, 2024

Today we talked about the significance of Black History Month and learnt about the life of the civil rights campaigner Rosa Parks. We discussed equality and how everyone has the right to be treat equally. We linked this learning to our school values and the children were marvellous at discussing what injustice is. We read about Rosa's life and the children were really interested in finding out about how she was brave enough to stand for what she believed in.
