Black History Month Assembly

October 21, 2024

Mrs Cunningham led assembly this morning to mark the end of Black History Month. We listened to Heather Small 'Search for a Hero' and discussed her music as well as the yrics, aiming high, linking it to our school vision and values.
We looked back at our celebrations over the past month and the children took part in a quiz.  They did really well and had lots of great knowledge to share about many inspirational people they've learnt about in their classes.  We hope that they can share lots of this knowledge with you!
Mrs Cunningham reminded the children that on Friday we are encouraging them to attend school dressed in the colours associated with this event;  black, red, green and yellow.  The special menu for that day has been sent to you via Edulink.
