This week in the Wrens, the children have been busy developing their storytelling and writing skills through the wonderful story What the Ladybird Heard by Julia Donaldson, one of our favourite authors!
As we read the story, we met the two villains, Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len, who came up with a cunning plan to steal the fine prize cow. Using pictures from the story as prompts, the children retold events and created their own written ideas inspired by the characters and plot.
We were incredibly proud of all the children's independent efforts. They showed fantastic imagination, enthusiasm, and determination in their writing, and it was lovely to see their confidence growing as they shared their ideas. Well done, Wrens!
