It’s been all bubbles and ice creams this afternoon in EYFS! The transformation of our shed from a dinosaur museum to an ice cream parlour has been the highlight of the day for the children!
The role play ideas were amazing, with children filling out order forms, receipts and enquiring about favourite flavours and whether they wanted a cone or a tub! It was the busiest ice cream parlour in Hornchurch!
Over the other side of the playground, there were some very excited children working together and discussing how to make the biggest bubbles. Children were able to make their own bubble wands using sticks and pipe cleaners but they soon realised using the quoits and larger, round objects meant bigger bubbles. There was a lot of problem solving and discussion and we loved chasing the bubbles around the playground trying to pop them!
A very successful, fun filled afternoon in EYFS!
