Wrens visit Barleylands Farm

June 26, 2026

The Wrens had a fantastic day at Barleylands Farm today! They enjoyed a wide range of exciting activities and had so much fun.

Throughout the day, the children took part in cookery classes where they made their very own biscuits. They also enjoyed visiting and feeding the animals, with many of them especially loving the opportunity to stroke the guinea pigs.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting Mystic the Owl, a beautiful bird of prey. The children were also fascinated as they explored the minibeasts and reptiles, including Banana, the friendly yellow python!

To finish off our wonderful visit, we all enjoyed a lovely tractor ride around the farm, taking in the sights and ending the day with lots of smiles.

The children were exceptionally well behaved throughout the trip and showed beautiful manners when thanking Ros, our tour guide and teacher for the day. We were incredibly proud of them all and the way they represented our school. Well done, Wrens!
