What an amazing experience we all had at the London Transport Museum and a great adventure getting there. The rain didn’t dampen the Puffin’s enthusiasm and we all had a brilliant time. With the help of our time travelling guide we took a step back through the last 200 years to explore the remarkable stories behind our transport history. The children were blown away by the idea that early buses had a handle and needed to be ‘cranked’ to start the engine. Also that the first double decker bus didn’t have a roof and the cheap seats were up on top out in the wind and rain. We had a fantastic time in the ‘All Aboard ‘ zone taking on the role of train and bus drivers, mechanics and passengers. The Puffins made us all super proud with their excellent behaviour and polite manners. What a lovely day making memories, a few little friends even had a sneaky snooze on the way back to school.
