This half term during Computing, Y2 have been looking at Information Technology and where they would find this. They began the topic focussing on IT in school but over the last couple of weeks have been focussing on where they may find it outside of school. They were able to explain the benefits of IT in the outside world and why it makes life easier to have this sort of tecnology especially for shop keepers. They recognsied that scanners and barcodes made shopping experiences much quicker and becamed shop keepers themselves, finding the correct barcodes and tallying up the price of their partner's shopping.
Finally it was discussed how IT can be used personally and also how to ensure they are keeping safe and following the rules when using IT.
