Over the last few weeks, the children in EYFS have been focussing on number recognition and counting. So far they have been introduced to three of our Ten Town characters, learning how to recognise and form each number. We have Zero Pond, King One and Tommy Two and will be looking forward to learning about the other 8 characters right up until number 10. We have also been introducing the numberblock characters as we go along too!
During our counting activities, we have been learning how to count accurately with 1:1 correspondence by moving the objects we are counting into a new pile to ensure we do not miss any out or double count.
