The wonderful Woodpeckers have been busy exploring the visual element Line through exciting monochrome artwork inspired by the work of artist Paul Morrison.
Using charcoal pencils, the children completed their own monochrome artworks, experimenting with a variety of line techniques. They explored thick and thin lines, straight and curved lines, wavy and broken lines, thinking carefully about how different marks could create shape, movement and texture.
The children showed great creativity and concentration as they developed their artwork, discovering how much can be communicated using just black and white. It was wonderful to see each child’s individual ideas and personality shine through their finished pieces!
Well done, Woodpeckers! 🎨🖤
