Today, some of our lovely Sparrows made their first entry in their Literacy books. They were asked to use their knowledge of the phonemes taught so far and identify the initial sound of each picture they cut out. Once they identified this, they were given a sound mat, located the sound and had a go at forming the letter.
Their letter formation wowed us all after only 2 weeks of practising! There was lots of fine motor practise here with the cutting and writing, encouraging children to hold both their scissors and pencils correctly. Well done Sparrows ✍
