This week our Year 1 classes took part in some very special activities to remember Remembrance Day. We learned the importance of the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month and why we see people wearing poppies. Then everyone made their own beautiful paper poppy and we turned these into a class wreath similar to ones laid at the cenotaph to remember the brave people who help to keep our country safe.
