This morning our Year Two Ambassadors, joined by the Year Six Ambassadors, travelled on the bus to Havering Town Hall. They were invited into the Council Chambers where they met Madame Mayor Sue Ospreay for question time. Mr Ian Pigott, the Mayoral Support Officer, told us the history behind the role of Mayor, the ceremonial use of the Mace and the origin of the word Havering. As always our Ambassadors represented our school very well and all appeared to enjoy their exclusive experience!
