In English this week our focus book was Here Come The Aliens by Colin McNaughton. Even though the weather was very cold the children enjoyed their outside learning experiences. The aliens had left slime behind , We had to find the rhyming stones from the gloopy green mess using tweezers and spoons. Supporting our fine motor skills. We matched rhyming pairs and then made up our own silly sentences. We used play dough, googly eyes, pipe cleaners and buttons to create our own aliens and then invented a rhyming names for them .For example “ My name is Breem and I like green.” We also tried really hard to read key sentences from the book and match to the correct pictures.
