This week our youngest children have begun our Phonics program and they have amazed us all with their listening skills and ability to use robot arms to segment and blend. Today we started off with the 's' sound, we thought about how to say the sound, we segmented and blended words beginning with this sound and then had a go at forming the letter on a whiteboard.
This week the children will also be looking at the following sounds: a, t and p. Feel free to see if your children can give you words including these sounds by the end of the week. You could even do a spot the sound whilst you're walking to school and see how many things you can see beginning with 's'. Well done EYFS, we are super proud of you.
