This week the Puffins took part in an exciting investigation all about floating and sinking. The children became real scientists as they compared the different materials and objects, made predictions, carried out the test and recorded what they found out. We looked closely at a collection of everyday objects such as glass marbles, wooden pegs, sponges, packing material made from paper, metal scissors with plastic handles, wooden pencils, shells and rubbers. The Puffins were super scientists explaining their ideas carefully and confidently, they also remembered to include this weeks science wow words , float, sink, submerge, heavy and predict to explain their thinking.
