This week in EYFS we have been learning through play and developing our skills in a variety of ways. We have been looking at measuring both weight and length, writing lovely notes to our friends and family in time for valentines day, working on our throwing and catching skills, writing prescriptions for sick patients in our doctors surgery, putting out fires and role playing our own classroom.
A true highlight of the week so far has been our mini village. The children were given complete autonomy to create their very own village. They chose to use our classroom train track and small world objects to add more detail and create their own scenarios. This was a perfect chance to develop our speaking & listening skills further too.
