Art in Reception

February 02, 2024

During this half term the children in Reception have been exploring printing. They have been inspired by the potato printing work of Molly Mahon and transformed this artistic skill into making both fictional and real superheroes with a range of vegetables themselves. Not a single paintbrush was used in the making of this artwork!

As you can see from some of the artwork created by the children in the Wrens, we created superheroes linked to our focus story 'Supertato' and also chose a real life superhero that inspires us. To become reflective learners we also discussed aspects of our work that we are proud of (Glows) and things we could do next time to improve it (Grows).
