Gardening in the Early Years

May 22, 2024

Reception have taken on the role of Super Scientists this half term, ‘recapping and rewinding’ to share our prior knowledge of what plants need in order to grow. We strive to follow the 5R’s in school and discussed our role in being responsible for taking care of our learning environment. The children were so excited to participate in clearing up our garden area, pulling out weeds and planting new seeds. The children enjoyed watering the flower beds and hunting for minibeasts too.
