Music of the term

December 02, 2024

Our music focus this half term when coming in and out of assembly is Christmas songs. The children have been enjoying singing along whilst waiting for assembly to start and have been learning the difference between Christmas songs and Christmas carols. A mixture of both of these have been played during the half term.

The children have also been introduced to some new facts.

Did you know Jingle Bells was the first song to be played in space?

Or that the most loved Christmas songs are actually written by Jewish songwriters?

What about the fact that ‘Let it Snow’ doesn’t once mention Christmas or the holidays?
